We’ve had a very upsetting and stressful experience with this company, beginning with work Scott did in our kitchen and ending with them walking off our bathroom job four weeks before Christmas. I am 8 months pregnant with a small child at home, which made the situation even more difficult.
Looking back, there were red flags from the kitchen work. A waste/plug component was broken during installation — an expensive item — and although Scott told us he hadn’t broken it, other trades on site independently told us they believed he had. The dishwasher installation was another issue; he struggled to fit a standard dishwasher and my husband ended up having to fit it himself. The tap he installed is loose, and the washing machine was not fitted correctly. Overall, the workmanship in the kitchen felt sloppy and unfinished.
Attendance was also a major problem. Scott often wouldn’t turn up when he said he would, or would turn up for half a day and leave without completing the work. Other trades working on the project commented to us that he seemed out of his depth.
Unfortunately, things escalated further with the bathroom. The work left incomplete caused serious delays to the whole renovation, and much of what was done had to be re-planned or corrected. During discussions about the problems, both Scott and Geordie spoke to me in a way that felt intimidating and aggressive. I expressed that I was distressed by the conversation, but it didn’t seem to make any difference, and they ultimately walked off the job altogether.
This has left us in an extremely stressful situation just weeks before Christmas, with major work unfinished and no regard for the impact on us as a family.
Based on our experience, I do not believe Scott is competent to carry out plumbing work, and I found the service unprofessional and unreliable throughout.
I cannot stress strongly enough that others should read all the negative reviews carefully — they reflect exactly what we experienced. This company left us in a very difficult position at the worst possible time.
